    The Augusta County Railroad Museum is pleased to be the invited guests of the Blue Ridge Tunnel Foundation at the East Parking Lot of the Blue Ridge Tunnel in Afton, Va, Thursday October 12, 2023.

    The Museum will have volunteers on-hand to answer railroad questions and display a handful of relevant museum exhibits from 10:00 a.m.- 04:00 p.m.

    The Tunnel, parking, and restroom facilites are open to the public without fee and attendance is encouraged and welcome.

    Likewise the exhibits, hands-on demonstrations, and activities of the Augusta County Railroad Museum are free as well.

Waynesboro Fall Festival on Saturday October 14 and Sunday October 15, 2023

    The Augusta County Railroad Museum is pleased to be the invited guests of the Waynesboro Fall Festival on Saturday October 14 and Sunday October 15, 2023

    The exhibits include local railroad photographs, an operating On30 layout powered by a solar electrical generator, and select railroad lanterns.

O Scale Display at the Shenandoah Heritage Market Harrisonburg Va. begining November 24 and ending December 22.

   
  O Scale Display at the Shenandoah Heritage Market Harrisonburg Va. begining November 24 and ending December 22.  

    The Augusta County Railroad Museum will setup an O Scale display at the Shenandoah Heritage Market. The 5ft x 8.5ft layout will feature two tracks in Christmas themed scenery. Plans are to have trains running begining Friday November 24th. Trains will normally run 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

    The Shenandoah Heritage Market features an indoor country marketplace with twenty (20) vendors and a food court. The Market is open 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Make plans to visit and see the market, as well as the trains during the upcoming holiday season.
